Mission Statement: The Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Texas, located at the South East Texas Regional Planning Commission, is responsible, under Title III of the Older Americans Act, for the development and implementation of a comprehensive and coordinated service system to: Secure and maintain maximum independence and dignity in a home environment for older individuals capable of self care with appropriate supportive services; Remove individual and social barriers to economic and personal independence for older individuals; and Provide a continuum of care for the vulnerable elderly.
